Student Application Process

Who can participate?

Undergraduates who have been enrolled for at least one semester at the time of application with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA may participate. First-semester transfer students are eligible. In addition, students must be in good academic and conduct standing with the University.

How to Apply?

Internship positions for 2023-24 will begin accepting student applications the week of Sept. 11th, 2023!

Once the positions are selected and posted, please following the instructions below.

How do I find and apply to a project?

STEP 1: Log in and  search on Handshake https://ucmerced.joinhandshake.com/login  
Use the key words: Student Success Internships

STEP 2: Apply
Submit your resume and cover letter on Handshake to projects of interest.

STEP 3: Participate in Selection Process

Using their own selection process, the department will review resumes and select candidates to interview and select for the project.
 

Do I Get Paid?
A project provides students with the opportunity to apply classroom learning to real-world experiences. Upon completion of the project, the student will receive $3,000 awarded through the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships as a student stipend and will be added to your financial aid awards.
